Careful What You Look For...

Still working my way through the US work. This is probably my favourite shot so far. Mainly because it comes close to summing up just how surreal the desert can be.
A strangely beautiful place where I seemed to spend more time than anyone else that pulled into the parking area, jumped out grabbed a few snaps, jumped back in and carried on their way up into the Valley.
The ground is a thick crust of salt crystals that have been leached out of the ancient lake bed. It was 89F when I was there. In November so who knows how hot it must get in the summer.
